In this role within AgeCare’s Long Term Care, Mental Health specialty program, you will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team. You should have a diploma in Community/Mental Health and at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting. Your ability to foster overall well-being and facilitate social integration will be key as you support residents aged 18 and older.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team
• Provide symptom support to residents with mental health needs
• Assist in the psycho-social recovery process
• Build rapport to enhance residents’ problem-solving skills
• Report unsafe behaviors to maintain a safe workplace
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community or Mental Health studies
• 2+ years experience in mental health or addictions
• Skilled in crisis intervention and behavior management
• Strong team skills and observation proficiency
• CPR and First Aid certified, ASIST preferred
