The Indigenous Wellness Core (IWC) collaborates across Primary Care Alberta (PCA) and with external partners to advance health equity for Indigenous peoples and communities. The Indigenous Wellness Core is seeking an Administrative Support IV to support a multi-disciplinary team and a wide range of programs and initiatives.The Administrative Support IV (AS4) requires advanced administrative skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives across the IWC. This position requires proficient skills and experience gained through education and significant on the job training. The AS4, under minimal guidance and supervision, will: support the IWC Management teams as well as provide program-wide support as part of the Administrative Team; multi-task to support a fast-paced and changing environment; be a self-starter who can work independently, have strong decision-making skills; work well within a team setting, pay attention to detail and have a very high level of professionalism.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum three to five years of progressive, diverse administrative experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.Knowledge and sensitivity around the culture and health issues of Indigenous people in Alberta as well as successful experience working in multi-cultural environments.A well-developed understanding of community-based work in an Indigenous community setting.Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous traditional protocols and practices.Expertise in Microsoft Office software.Self-directed with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, with an ability to handle multiple tasks.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to manage and prioritize work and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and team skills.A demonstrated clear commitment to professional and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Indigenous people and communities.Possess a working knowledge of Alberta’s health service systems and processes, policies and procedures.Proficiency with SharePoint and health system scheduling, payroll and expense systems.
