Heng Mei Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a full time, permanent Assistant Accountant to support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

Job Details

- Wage: $40.00 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Employment type: Permanent, full-time
- Work setting: On-site
- Work locations: Richmond, BC and Delta, BC
- The employee will be required to work at both locations and travel between the two offices as needed.
- Schedule: Day shifts; weekend work and overtime may be required
- Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

- Prepare and submit reports
- Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions
- Coordinate accounting activities with other work units or departments
- Maintain financial records
- Prepare tax returns
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Manage accounts receivable
- Manage accounts payable
- Prepare payroll
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Post journal entries




- Perform financial calculations, including costing and budgeting
- Verify receipts and packing slips
- Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data
- Compile inventory reports
- Perform other related accounting duties as required

Qualifications

- College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience
- Three years to less than five years of relevant accounting experience
- Ability to work independently and maintain accurate and confidential financial records
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English
- Mandarin is considered an asset
- A Canadian CPA designation is not required for this position.

Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work on-site at the company’s Richmond and Delta locations. There is no option to work remotely.
