Push Operations
Vancouver
Lees Donuts started in 1979 as a little mom-and-pop donut shop in the heart of Granville Island Public Market.
More than 45 years later, weve grown quite a bit, but were still about the same things: great donuts, good people, warm hospitality, and taking pride in what we do.
Were looking for an Evening Production Manager to lead our overnight production and commissary operations and make sure our shops wake up ready for another day.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who likes being trusted to run the show, keeps their cool when plans change, and gets a strange amount of satisfaction from a well‑organized production schedule.
If youre a night person, even better.
You set tomorrow up for success.
Youll lead our evening production and commissary team, making sure we have the right people, ingredients, supplies, orders and production plans in place to get everything where it needs to go.
That includes:
And when something unexpected happens at 2:17am?
There probably isnt a meeting you can schedule about it.
Youre the person who figures out what to do next.
Leadership here also means jumping in. Whether thats helping with production, moving supplies, cleaning equipment, supporting a delivery or filling an operational gap, youre not there to watch the work happen.
Youre there to help lead it.
Youre organized and notice what needs attention before it becomes a problem.
You can lead a team without someone looking over your shoulder.
You give people clear direction, treat them with respect and arent afraid to have a conversation when something needs to improve.
You stay calm when plans change, make valuable decisions and take pride in leaving the operation better than you found it.
Previous leadership experience in a kitchen, bakery, food production, manufacturing,
restaurant or similar environment would be a strong asset.
Donut experience? Not necessary.
Good judgement, reliability and the ability to lead a team at 3am? Much more important.
Pay: $26.00/hour + tips
Position: Full‑Time, Permanent
Schedule: Overnight shifts between 8:00pm and 6:00am, approximately 40 hours per week
Benefits: 100% employer‑paid benefits after successfully completing your three‑month probationary period
This is an active position. Youll spend much of your shift on your feet in a commercial kitchen and production environment, lifting ingredients and supplies and occasionally moving between locations to support the operation.
Because the work that happens overnight matters.
By the time our shops open their doors, thousands of little details have already had to go right. Youll lead the team responsible for making that happen.
Youll have the opportunity to develop people, improve how we work, build better processes and take real ownership over an important part of our operation.
And when you finish your shift and Vancouver is just starting its day, youll know your team helped make sure there are fresh donuts waiting for it.
Not a bad nights work.
If youre a night owl who likes leading people, solving problems and leaving things better than you found them, we should probably talk.
Come run the night shift with us!
