In this role at Notre Dame House, you'll provide essential support to homeless youth aged 16-21, addressing their individual needs through personal counseling and educational activities. Your flexibility in working different weekend shifts along with statutory holidays is essential for making an impactful difference in their lives. You will play a significant role in fostering a nurturing environment and assisting clients in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs and develop individual support strategies
• Implement crisis intervention and preventive care
• Facilitate life skills workshops, such as cooking
• Connect clients with additional community resources
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Previous experience in youth support or social services
• Willingness to complete CPR certification
• Experience with residential treatment preferred
• Ability to converse in additional languages is beneficial
