Become a pivotal force for change as a Restorative Justice Consultant in Nova Scotia. Lead outreach efforts, enhance community partnerships, and promote equitable access to restorative justice across the province.
In this full time role, you will actively engage with diverse communities to improve trust and foster relationships necessary for expanding the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Program. You'll collaborate closely with justice system partners and community organizations to provide support, education, and dialogue surrounding access to restorative practices. This position emphasizes social justice, community engagement, and innovation in justice transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead community outreach initiatives to boost public understanding
• Partner with justice organizations to enhance referral quality
• Identify barriers to access for marginalized groups
• Support collaborations among justice and community partners
• Develop tailored education programs for stakeholders
Requirements:
• Relevant university degree and several years of experience
• Strong knowledge of restorative justice and access issues
• Exceptional skills in collaboration and facilitation
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across audiences
• Experience applying principles of equity and anti-racism
