**Job Title: Shipper and Receiver**
**Job Description**
The Shipper and Receiver is responsible for accurately processing merchandise through the distribution and manufacturing operation, using solid product knowledge, independent decision-making, and the ability to quickly learn and apply various systems, tools, and equipment.

This role ensures timely and efficient movement of product, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports high service levels through careful handling, documentation, and communication with internal partners and customers.
**Responsibilities**
Process merchandise throughout the operation, including purchase orders, invoices, worksheets, and related documentation.

Perform inventory management activities such as cycle counting, SKU verification, inspection, ticketing, and semi-annual inventory reconciliations.

Handle the physical movement of product within manufacturing, vault, and e-commerce cage areas, ensuring secure and accurate transfer of goods.

Use computers, RF guns, carousels, and automated pick processes to complete put-away, picking, and transfer activities.

Maintain individual productivity standards, track and report performance on a daily basis, and meet established processing and service level targets.

Ensure the quality of product, packaging, and transfer movement, and support timely, efficient flow of merchandise through distribution and manufacturing.

Process new merchandise through inspection, transfer completion, assignment, and put-away into secured storage locations.

Retain and apply operating knowledge of multiple technology platforms, including third-party shipping systems, movement software, sorting systems, radio-frequency equipment, and inventory management applications.

Provide initial customer contact by handling incoming phone calls and following up on the status of customer warranty repairs.

Work closely with quality control and business operations to handle hotline calls, expedite cases, and follow up after jobs are completed and shipped back to stores.

Perform accurate data entry related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and order processing.

Carry out general labor and machine operation tasks associated with picking, packing, and packaging of merchandise.

Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed, ensuring consistent quality of work.

Adhere to security procedures, including working in a metal-free setting and passing through security checkpoints throughout the workday.

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned to support operational needs.
**Essential Skills**
Experience with shipping and receiving of merchandise, including order picking and delivery of packages.

Hands-on experience working with purchase orders, invoices, and worksheets.

Proficiency with RF guns and carousels for inventory movement, put-away, and picking.

Ability to learn new systems and technology platforms quickly.

Good math skills to support inventory accuracy and reconciliation.

Strong computer and data entry skills, including experience with Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

Familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS) and automated software supporting radio-frequency and sorting systems.

Attention to detail and the ability to concentrate closely for long periods of time while maintaining consistent work quality.

Effective written and oral communication skills for internal coordination and customer interaction.

Ability to stand for extended periods (for example, approximately six hours standing and two hours sitting during a typical shift).





Capability to work in a fast-paced, production-based environment while meeting productivity standards.

Willingness and ability to work mandated overtime throughout the year.

Comfort working in a completely metal-free environment and passing in and out of security checkpoints multiple times per day.

Strong team orientation and ability to mesh well with a tight-knit group in a close working area.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience with customer service, including handling incoming calls and providing status updates on orders or repairs.

Picking, packing, and packaging within a warehouse or distribution environment.

Experience with general labor and machine operation in a production or manufacturing setting.

Ability to adapt to changing product flow and flex between different departments as needed.

Comfort working in an environment with light drilling noise and some dust on the production floor.

Reliability in time and attendance to support production schedules and overtime requirements.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in an air-conditioned warehouse and production facility with a small, close-knit team; you will be introduced to all team members on your first day.

Standard shift options run Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with two breaks and a lunch period while still maintaining a 40-hour workweek.

During December and holiday periods, overtime is required on some weekends to support peak demand.

The facility is a metal-free plant, and you will pass through a metal detector each time you enter or exit; it is best to wear clothing without metal, and metal steel-toe shoes must be removed before going through the detector, while items like sweatpants are allowed.

The environment includes light noise from drilling on the production line and some dust on the production floor, which may be a consideration for individuals with dust allergies.

You will regularly use technology such as RF scanners, carousels, inventory management systems, automated sorting and movement software, and third-party shipping platforms while performing standing and light physical work in a fast-paced, production-focused setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Markham, ON.
**Pay and Perks**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
