Support educational success as a Visual Language Interpreter for School District 72 in Campbell River, BC. This permanent role requires skilled ASL interpretation to assist deaf and hard of hearing students in inclusive learning environments.

As a Visual Language Interpreter, you will collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Your expertise in ASL will enable effective communication during lessons, activities, and school-wide events, fostering a rich educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret between ASL and English for classroom settings
• Engage in activities including assemblies and field trips
• Modify signing styles based on student needs




• Maintain the confidentiality of student information
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings and other tasks assigned

Requirements:
• Completion of a two-year ASL Interpretation program
• Minimum one year of related work experience
• Fluency in American Sign Language (at least Level 4)
• Class 5 BC Driver's License necessary
• Explicit Criminal Record Check renewal every five years
