We are currently seeking a qualified Commodity Leader who is responsible for the end-to-end business performance of an assigned commodity, supplier portfolio, or spend category. The role develops and executes sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, supplier performance, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and operational resilience. Commodity Leader serves as the commercial owner and strategic interface between the business and the supply base. Working closely with Buyers, Lead Buyers, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, Finance, and Program teams, the role drives supplier performance, sourcing decisions, contract management, supplier rationalization, and long-term supply strategy.

Responsibilities Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies and supplier roadmaps
Lead strategic sourcing activities, including RFQs, RFPs, negotiations, and contract management
Manage key supplier relationships, performance reviews, and supplier development initiatives
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring business continuity and supplier readiness
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program teams on sourcing decisions
Drive cost reduction, supplier consolidation, process improvements, and procurement best practices
Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and compliance against business objectives
Present sourcing strategies, supplier risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain leadership
Proven experience developing commodity strategies and managing strategic supplier relationships
Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance management skills
Experience with risk management, supplier development, and complex sourcing initiatives
Robust business, financial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement tools, spend analytics, and reporting
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, or CPIM are preferred
Bilingual in French and English with strong verbal and written communication skills
Compensation: 95,000 – $110,000 CAD (annual salary)
