Job details pipeline construction supervisor Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Drilling. Equipment operation. Excavation. Grading. Paving. Tasks: Recommend measures to improve productivity . Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare production and other reports. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Establish methods to meet work schedules. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition materials and supplies. Supervise workers and projects. Operate heavy equipment. Supervision: 5-10 people. Blasters (surface mining or quarrying or construction). Crane operators. Drillers - (Surface mining or quarrying or construction). Heavy equipment operators, except crane. Labourers. Public works maintenance equipment operators. Trades helpers. Water well drillers. Type of industry experience: Construction. Pipeline construction. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Work under pressure. Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility.
