Drive positive community health outcomes as a Health Promotion Specialist at Durham Community Health Centre in Oshawa and Pickering, ON. This one-year contract focuses on addressing health inequities through education and outreach.

Working directly with diverse populations, you’ll help shape health programs and initiatives that empower community members. Your role includes collaboration with various stakeholders to assess needs and improve health access. Utilize your expertise to foster a culture of inclusivity and well-being in underserved areas.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with community partners to identify health needs
• Develop and deliver health education programs
• Facilitate community engagement and health initiatives




• Conduct surveys and evaluations for program success
• Advocate for policy changes that support health equity

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in health, social science, or equivalent
• Three years’ experience in community health promotion
• Solid communication and relational skills
• Experience with marginalized groups
• Driver’s license is required
