Our client is a growing organization specializing ingroup benefits solutionsand is looking for aGroup Benefits Agentto join their team in Markham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Group Benefits professional who enjoys working directly withplan sponsors and members, providing knowledgeable support, resolving issues, and managing the day-to-day administration of group benefits programs.
The successful candidate will serve as aprimary point of contactfor clients and plan members while working in a collaborative environment with opportunities to contribute to broader team initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Act as a primary contact forplan sponsors and group benefits members
Respond to member and client inquiries by phone and email
Provide support regardinggroup benefit plans, eligibility, claims, coverage, payments, and plan options
Troubleshoot and resolve plan sponsor and member issues, escalating when required
Process member enrolments, updates, and changes while maintaining accurate records
Gather member information and process monthly billing statements
Conduct plan audits and organize information for reviewProcess member payments and related administrative requests
Support members with online portals and insurer platforms
Prepare letters, mail merges, and other member communications
Ensure requests are handled accurately and within established service standards
Participate in team meetings, projects, and initiatives
Share insights and contribute to overall team goals
Perform other related duties as required
What We’re Looking For Must-Haves:
Minimum2 years of group insurance experience
Experience withsystem integration
Strong understanding of group benefits administration and servicing
Advanced computer proficiency, includingMicrosoft Word and Excel
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
Nice-to-Haves:
CEBS certification
Experience withmulti-employer or Flex benefit plans
Experience working with insurer platforms and member portals
Compensation & Benefits
$58,000–$72,000 base salary, depending on experience
Permanent, full-time position
37.5-hour work week
Hybrid work arrangement – 3 days remote after training
Flexible scheduling depending on client/group requirements

Please note:Some client groups operate with extended office hours until7 PM Monday through Wednesday. Depending on the groups assigned, there may be a requirement to work a later shift on a scheduled basis, with advance notice provided.
