Join ERM as a Field Archaeologist based in Smithers, BC. This role focuses on conducting archaeological surveys and ensuring compliance with safety regulations in diverse landscapes.
As a Junior Field Archaeologist at ERM, you’ll engage in field studies and inspections that enhance cultural heritage understanding. This full-time, 9-month position offers hands-on experience in excavation and archaeological research while working outdoors under various conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in archaeological surveys and excavations
• Inspect land surfaces for historic resources
• Maintain health and safety compliance
• Assist in various related tasks as needed
• Collaborate with team members in field settings
Requirements:
• Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology desired
• 0-3 years in archaeological survey work
• Enrolled students who completed field school welcome
• Robust ability to work outdoors and adapt
• 2 weeks on, 1 week off working schedule
