About this role Our manufacturing operation focuses on the prefabrication of installation-ready electrical assemblies and systems that support efficient execution on construction projects. We are seeking a Manager, Prefabrication (Manufacturing) to lead Houle's prefabrication operations and oversee the development of processes, workflows, and production standards that support safe, consistent, and effective delivery.
This role will help expand prefabrication capabilities, improve digital workflows, and lead teams in delivering high-quality products that support project requirements and schedules.
Your responsibilities Lead safe, efficient, and high-quality day-to-day operations across our manufacturing facility
Develop and execute a prefabrication roadmap that applies manufacturing principles and operational excellence practices
Expand prefabrication capabilities across project delivery to improve quality and enhance safety
Partner with Operations, VDC, Procurement, Estimating, and project teams to identify work that can be designed and delivered through prefabrication
Champion Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), standardize workflows, and repeatable production methods that enhance prefabrication efficiency
Build and implement Lean operating systems focused on safety, quality, flow, productivity, schedule reliability, and waste reduction within prefabrication operations
Establish visual management, production planning, capacity planning, and KPI routines that support data-driven decisions and accountability
Support integration between digital design, material planning, procurement, prefabrication, and field installation workflows
Evaluate and implement equipment, automation, and technology that strengthen manufacturing capability
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team members while building a culture of ownership, learning, innovation, and continuous improvement
Lead change in a practical and people-focused way,
embedding continuous improvement into daily work rather than treating it as a separate initiative
Your experience and skills 7+ years of leadership experience in prefabrication, industrialized construction or a related operational environment
5+ years of experience leading teams and developing people
Degree or diploma in engineering, operations management, construction, business, or a related field is preferred
Proven experience building or improving production systems and workflows using Lean manufacturing, Lean construction, or operational excellence principles
Strong knowledge of workflow design, production planning, capacity management, quality, and performance measurement
Experience collaborating across design, operations, supply chain, and project delivery functions
Experience with digital design, ERP, production management, or construction technology platforms; Revit and Autodesk experience are assets
Lean Green Belt, Lean Black Belt, PMP, or equivalent certification is an asset
Experience in electrical, MEP, modular construction, or advanced manufacturing is an asset
Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and change leadership skills
