Join Agnico Eagle as a Metallurgy Co-op Student for a unique prospect to develop your metallurgy skills in Australia! This 12+ month experience will immerse you in innovative mining practices and enhance your teamwork abilities.
As a Metallurgy Co-op Intern, you’ll report to the Senior Metallurgist in the Process Plant Department. Your responsibilities include routine lab tasks, conducting sampling, and creating metallurgical models from data you analyze. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining high safety and environmental standards, ensuring all operational goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily lab operations in metallurgy
• Perform sampling for analysis in processes
• Monitor samplers and report findings
• Analyze data to optimize metallurgical processes
• Ensure instrument accuracy and perform maintenance
Requirements:
• Enrolled in a degree with a metallurgy focus
• Must participate in your university's Co-op program
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Strong initiative with a robust work ethic
• Promote safety and adherence to operational standards
