Job Description




Under the direction of the school principal and the instructional supervision of the classroom teacher, the Developmental Assistant is responsible for:

assisting with the planning and implementation of programs for students with exceptional needs;

implements programs to develop gross and fine motor skills, communication, self-regulation, integration, socialization and self-care;

assisting in evaluating progress;

assisting with general school activities;

other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Developmental Services Worker diploma, Nursing, Health Sciences or an equivalent program;

2 years of related experience;

CPR and First Aid;

good written and oral communication skills;

initiative and commitment;

and the ability to work as a team member.

Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Annual (or Hourly) Salary
This is a 5 month term position with an annual salary range of $49,117 to $52,809 ($32.63 to $35.08 hourly)(to be prorated if part-time hours).

The start date is approximately September 14, 2026.
