Become a UBC IT Desktop Support Specialist and provide essential support for desktops, networks, and user hardware. This full-time role focuses on troubleshooting and user engagement at the Point Grey Campus.
In the position of Support Analyst II, you will liaise with user groups to identify technology needs and implement effective solutions. You will have the chance to maintain both hardware and software systems while supporting a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students. Your proactive approach will help ensure secure and reliable IT services across campus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software components
• Respond to service requests through robust tracking systems
• Support student and faculty access terminals and lab equipment
• Offer training and technical assistance for IT tools
• Develop best practices and documentation standards
Requirements:
• Proven experience in IT support or desktop environments
• Proficient in troubleshooting various technology systems
• Knowledge of service-level agreements
• Strong communication skills with diverse audiences
• Willingness to maintain professional IT certifications
