Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff a position on a indeterminate basis in Edmonton, Alberta and Calgary, Alberta and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Conditions of employment RCMP Enhanced reliability status with top secret security clearance
Possession of a valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license (for positions providing fleet management support)
Operational Requirements Willingness and ability to work in a policing environment where exposure to sensitive or distressing investigative material may occur
Willingness and ability to work overtime, or adjust hours on short notice
Willingness and ability to travel, as required
You need (essential for the job) Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
EXPERIENCE
Experience providing administrative support services
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software
Experience entering, maintaining, and retrieving information or data from electronic systems
Experience preparing correspondence, reports and documentation
Applied / assessed at a later date
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively in writing
Ability to communicate effectively orally




Ability to organize and prioritize work under tight deadlines

EXPERIENCE
Experience maintaining a law enforcement database (e.g., CPIC, PROS)
Experience providing fleet management support
Experience providing financial support services (e.g., processing invoices or expenditures, budget tracking)
