**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
This role involves general labour tasks on a production line, including packing, boxing, and packaging baked goods.

You work as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team, supporting consistent product quality and efficient production across multiple lines.
**Responsibilities**
Perform general production duties such as packing, boxing, and packaging baked goods on various production lines.

Operate as a packaging operator and production line worker, ensuring products are correctly packed and labeled.

Load and unload trays, materials, and finished goods as required on different lines.

Align trays and cups accurately to support smooth production flow, particularly on muffin and cake lines.

Handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail, maintaining consistent quality and productivity.

Support machine operating activities related to loading and unloading product, under direction and training.

Work across multiple plants and product lines and participate in cross-training to perform tasks in all areas.

Follow all safety procedures when lifting up to 30–50 lbs, handling equipment, and moving materials.

Conduct basic quality assurance checks during packaging to ensure products meet standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following plant hygiene and food safety guidelines.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and shift goals.
**Essential Skills**
Experience in general labour and production line work.

General production experience in packaging, packing, and boxing products.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift.

Comfort working with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Comfort working in different temperature environments, including mildly hot and hotter areas.

Ability to work as a packaging operator and production line worker.

Willingness to be cross-trained and work in all production areas and plants as needed.

Basic ability to support machine operating tasks related to loading and unloading product.

Attention to detail to maintain product quality and follow packaging standards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in food production or bakery environments is an asset.

Previous work in packaging, boxing, or general manufacturing is beneficial.

Ability to adapt quickly to different lines and tasks across multiple buildings.

Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with production staff.

Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a multi-plant production facility with five buildings, primarily supporting the cakes line for recent brownie products while requiring comfort working in all areas.

You will be cross-trained across plants, including: Plant 1, focused on muffins, with a non-hot environment where tasks include aligning trays, cupping, and boxing; Plant 2, producing crumpets and similar products, with a non-hot environment and mainly packaging and boxing duties; Plant 3, handling cakes packaging, bagels, and English muffins, in a hotter environment where you load and unload bagel trays and package cakes into boxes; and Plant 4, producing cookies, in a mildly hot setting with responsibilities in packaging, quality assurance, and boxing.

Work is performed on production lines with repetitive tasks, frequent lifting, and standing for extended periods, following food safety and hygiene standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ancaster, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $21.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
