Umbrella Family is hiring a Temporary Cook dedicated to delivering healthy meals and snacks for children. This full-time position in Dundas promotes food safety and positive kitchen practices.
In this role, you will work Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, for a total of 30 hours each week. You will prepare and serve meals that adhere to nutritional guidelines, ensuring children enjoy safe food options. Your contributions will facilitate a nurturing setting, and you will play a vital role in the center's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks to children
- Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging menus
- Ensure meals comply with allergy and dietary requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
- Perform grocery ordering and supply maintenance
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience beneficial
- Familiarity with Canada's Food Guide essential
- Must possess a valid Food Handler's Certificate
- Flexibility to assist in other center duties as required
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cooking
