Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and goods to designated locations, following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Assist in Loading and unloading of freight using equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Communicate effectively with customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Assist with basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor vehicle issues to minimize downtime during routes
- Follow safety protocols diligently when operating heavy equipment or handling freight to prevent accidents or damage
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a focus on freight delivery or logistics operations
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to transportation and warehousing
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics to address minor vehicle concerns on the road
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and documentation
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record;
