POSITION: District Itinerant Music TeacherASSIGNMENT: Music - Elementary (K-7)FTE: 1.0LOCATION: District Administration OfficeEFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2025, and continuingBasic Qualifications:The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in positive standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following:Training Specifications:Elementary Education with major/minor in musicRelated Teaching Experience:Recent successful experience as an Elementary Music TeacherA Reasonable Expectation:based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience,



that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staffAdditional Qualifications:-Training/skill in the Kodaly method and/or the Orff approach to music instruction-Solid singing skillsOther:Own transportation for travel between schools is necessary - mileage reimbursed as per the CAThe starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
