About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Social Work Manager to lead their Child Protection Unit in Kimberley . This leadership role involves overseeing a team of social workers dedicated to safeguarding children and supporting vulnerable families within the Northern Cape . You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of practice, case management, and program delivery, while providing essential supervision and mentorship to your team. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with a strong background in child protection, exceptional organizational abilities, and a commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise a team of social workers involved in child protection cases.
- Ensure adherence to legal frameworks, policies, and best practices in child welfare services.
- Oversee case management, including assessments, intervention plans, and service delivery monitoring.
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and professional development support to team members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant government departments, NGOs,



and community stakeholders in Kimberley .
- Manage team resources, budgets, and performance, ensuring productive and effective service delivery.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Professional registration with the SACSSP.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in social work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in child protection.
- Extensive knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures in South Africa.
- Proven leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report-writing, analytical, and communication abilities.
