Job Summary: The Skilled Laborer will work as part of a team on selective demolition job sites, performing various manual labor tasks under the supervision of the Foreman or Superintendent. This role requires experience in demolition or construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must also have the ability to read and comprehend construction plans to support accurate demolition work. While a clean driving record is not required, candidates with a clean driving record will be eligible for higher pay upon hiring. Reliable transportation to job sites is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform selective demolition tasks, including but not limited to tearing down walls, ceilings, and structures while preserving surrounding areas that must remain intact.

Safely operate hand and power tools to complete demolition tasks as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.

Assist with the removal of debris, materials, and equipment from job sites.

Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to ensure proper demolition techniques are used.

Help set up and break down equipment and materials at the beginning and end of each workday.

Read and comprehend construction plans to assist in the accurate execution of demolition work.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety standards.





Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and supplies as needed.

Communicate with the Foreman/Superintendent and crew to coordinate tasks and report progress.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, demolition, or a similar skilled labor position.

Experience in

selective demolition

is preferred.

Ability to

read and comprehend construction plans

and follow detailed instructions is preferred.

Proficiency in operating demolition tools and equipment.

Reliable transportation

to job sites is required.

While a

clean driving record

is not required, candidates with a clean record will receive higher pay at the time of hiring.

Strong understanding of safety practices and the ability to work in compliance with OSHA standards.

Physical ability to lift/move heavy materials and work in varying environmental conditions.

Skills:

Solid work ethic and a commitment to safety.

Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.

Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

Knowledge of demolition tools and basic construction techniques.
