Overview:
This is a temporary position for 3- 4 months. This position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of full-cycle recruitment from pre-recruitment to start day, to ensure staffing levels are maintained and meet operational needs and priorities.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $83,000 to $114,000. The final offer will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Please note that the offer may fall anywhere within the posted range and is not necessarily at the top end.

Key Accountabilities:
- Leads a collaborative process with managers and the HR team in the attraction and recruitment process, including posting positions, screening/assessing applicants, chairing interview panels, and managing the hiring approval, documentation, assessment, and onboarding processes.
- Provides oversight, advice,
coaching and leadership to hiring managers and the HR team on competitions and ensures best practices and established processes are followed in all competitions.
- Supports full life-cycle recruitment activities, including job profile development and classification and compensation analysis.
- Curates, delivers, and supports a candidate experience reflective of the organizational culture.
- Oversees recruitment platforms and regularly reviews and advises on interview and recruitment practices and document development (interview templates, hiring practices, workflows etc).
- Effectively uses online databases and various recruitment platforms to strategically target potential candidates – including passive candidate outreach.
- Supports in the development and implementation of strategic, creative solutions to attract high quality candidates, helping to build the candidate pipeline for future staffing needs.
- Continuously and actively reviews and implements process improvements with feedback from teams and the business.
- Builds and maintains templates and tracks key recruitment metrics and summarizes recruitment reporting.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Public administration and considerable experience providing advisory services in an HR environment and using human resource information systems, policies, practices and processes or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference may be given to applicants with recent experience leading specialized recruitment drives.
- Excellent knowledge of HR policies, practices and processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortability using recruitment tools and an ability to adopt technology as a comparative advantage.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and relevant legislation.
- Ability to optimize recruitment tools to best assess candidates and make defendable recommendations when hiring.
- Experience negotiating contracts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable building harmonious working relationships with board/committee members.
- Strong organizational skills to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
