Responsibilities:
- Maintain safe and clean working setting by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Provide emergency / unscheduled / scheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Prepare and start up machinery and equipment for scheduled production runs
- Conducting preventative maintenance activities and prioritizing tasks accordingly
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams, operation manuals, manufactures instructions and engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair or production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be willing to work overtime when required
- Must have a basic tool kit. The employee tool allowance will allow for additional tools
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum educational requirement of high school diploma or GED with relevant work experience and trade certificates (433A)
- Self-motivation and ability to work in an environment without direct supervision for extended periods of time
- Ability to act in accordance with Standard Procedures supporting company-wide operational, service and safety guidelines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
