Become a vital part of children's development as a Substitute Programmer at the YMCA. This position focuses on creating secure, supportive, and engaging environments.
The YMCA is hiring Substitute Programmers for its Before and After School programs across multiple sites. You will be responsible for fostering children’s physical, social, and emotional growth through well-structured programming. Additionally, maintaining compliance with standards and effective communication with stakeholders is key to this role's success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive developmentally appropriate programming for children
• Ensure a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
• Actively supervise and support children's well-being
• Document attendance and engage families appropriately
• Work collaboratively with staff and share program insights
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year childcare experience
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification required
• Must complete background checks and safeguarding training
