Why join our team?

During the internship, the student will have the opportunity to expand their technical knowledge of aircraft turbine engines, with a focus on in-service performance, proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and the development of associated solutions. The intern will be expected to work collaboratively within a team environment and proactively seek support from engineering when required. They will interact with various departments within P&WC;, as well as with engine service centers. In addition, the intern will work with multiple software tools and databases to integrate different types of information and parameters, enabling the analysis and identification of proactive trends. The intern will also provide administrative support, such as preparing presentations and participating in data gathering.

Day-to-day responsibilities

- Support Customer Engineers in resolving technical issues;
- Analyzing business aviation engine reliability data, including hours and operating cycles, event symptoms and root causes, recurrence trends, and potential solutions;
- Study the impact of technical improvements on in-service engines to observe the long-term effects on the fleet, in order to plan required parts and maintenance facility capacity;
- Analyze costs and technical causes associated with warranty claims, identify trends, and propose technical solutions in collaboration with engineers;
- Contribute to the improvement and standardization of the content in business aircraft engine maintenance manuals.

Required qualifications

- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
- Pursue studies in mechanical, electrical, software, physics, industrial, or aerospace engineering.
- Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans,



drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods. Pourquoi rejoindre notre équipe ?

Au cours du stage, l’étudiant aura l’occasion d’approfondir ses connaissances techniques liées aux moteurs à turbine d’aéronefs, notamment en ce qui concerne les performances en service, la maintenance proactive, le diagnostic de pannes et le développement de solutions associées. Le stagiaire devra travailler efficacement en équipe et être en mesure de solliciter le soutien des ingénieurs lorsque nécessaire. Il sera amené à interagir avec différents départements au sein de P&WC;, ainsi qu’avec des centres de services moteurs. De plus, le stagiaire utilisera divers logiciels et bases de données afin de croiser différents types d’informations et de paramètres, permettant l’analyse et l’identification de tendances de manière proactive. Le stagiaire apportera également un soutien administratif, notamment en préparant des présentations et en participant à la collecte de données.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?

- Soutenir les Ingénieurs du service à la clientèle (Customer Engineers) dans la résolution de problèmes techniques;
- Réaliser des analyses de données liées à la fiabilité des moteurs d’avions d’affaires en opération, incluant les heures et cycles d’utilisation, les symptômes et causes de pannes, ainsi que l’analyse des récurrences et l’évaluation des solutions possibles ;
- Étudier l’impact des améliorations techniques sur les moteurs en service afin de constater l’effet à long-terme sur la flotte afin planifier les pièces requises et la capacité des facilitées de maintenance;
- Analyser les coûts et les causes techniques associés aux demandes de garantie, identifier les tendances et proposer des solutions techniques en collaboration avec les ingénieurs ;
- Contribuer à l’amélioration et à l’uniformisation du contenu des manuels de maintenance des moteurs d’avions d’affaires.

Qu’est-ce qu’il vous faut pour réussir ?

- Être éligible à travailler au Canada.
- Être inscrit dans une université canadienne pendant toute la durée de votre stage.
- Être en mesure de travailler sur place dans la province où vous êtes embauché, le cas échéant.
- Poursuivre des études dans le génie mécanique, électrique, logiciel, physique, industriel ou aérospatial.
