About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Kimberley . This role is perfect for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a solid foundation in geotechnical engineering. You will assist in conducting site investigations, performing analyses, and preparing reports under the guidance of experienced professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of projects and develop specialized skills in soil mechanics and foundation engineering within the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and executing field investigations, including drilling supervision and soil/rock sampling.
- Perform basic geotechnical analyses for foundations, slopes, and retaining structures using established software.
- Contribute to the preparation of geotechnical investigation reports and design recommendations.
- Conduct laboratory testing on soil and rock samples and interpret the results.
- Support senior engineers in providing construction phase advice and problem-solving.




- Maintain accurate records of field and laboratory data for projects in Kimberley.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization or strong interest in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 0-3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or relevant internships.
- Basic understanding of soil mechanics principles and geotechnical investigation methods.
- Familiarity with geotechnical software is an advantage.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities for working in Kimberley.
