As a Shunter Operator, you will play a crucial role in material transportation and weighing operations. Your responsibilities include moving trailers, unloading trucks, and maintaining material handling processes. With continuous training provided, this position promotes a collaborative work environment that values safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and transport metal materials across the site • Unload trucks and verify incoming material quality • Move scrap vehicles to shredder loading areas • Conduct material identification tests using specified tools • Record material weights in reports accurately
Requirements: • At least 1 year of relevant operational experience • Valid Class 5 driver’s license for heavy-duty trucks • Strong focus on health and safety practices • Excellent communication skills in English and French • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
