About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Dispatch Manager to lead their logistics dispatch operations in Kimberley . This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient coordination and execution of all transportation and delivery activities. You will be responsible for managing a team of dispatchers, optimizing routes, and ensuring that shipments are managed effectively from order placement to final delivery. This hybrid position requires a blend of on-site leadership and remote strategic oversight, perfect for a manager who can drive efficiency and maintain strong communication across dispersed teams and operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders and shipment coordination.
- Manage and train a team of dispatchers, setting performance standards and providing ongoing support.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency, minimize transit times, and reduce costs.
- Utilize dispatch software and tracking systems to monitor the movement of vehicles and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Serve as a key point of contact for drivers, customers,



and other departments regarding dispatch and delivery status.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to dispatch and transportation safety.

Requirements

- Proven experience in logistics dispatch or transportation management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of dispatch operations, routing software, and fleet management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and general computer applications.
- Experience in a hybrid work setting, demonstrating ability to manage teams both on-site and remotely.
