The Town of Tillsonburg invites applications for a full time Light Equipment Operator focused on integral maintenance and public safety tasks. This role includes snow clearing, asphalt repair, and more throughout the community.
As a vital part of the Public Works team, you will operate various light equipment and software to ensure the effective maintenance of Town infrastructure. Responsibilities will encompass everything from daily road maintenance to customer service at the Transfer Station, showcasing your capability to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate light equipment such as tractors and loaders
• Execute snow shoveling and salt application
• Conduct inspections and repairs of infrastructure
• Maintain radio communication while working
• Direct waste management at the Transfer Station
Requirements:
• Completion of at least grade 12
• Two years in operational roles preferred
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License
• Knowledge of snow removal best practices
• Ability to engage with the public effectively
