Contribute to Aecon’s legacy as an EHS Advisor, shaping health, safety, and environmental protocols on major civil projects. Influence a culture of safety and compliance while working on critical infrastructure initiatives.
Reporting to the EHS Manager, this position entails active engagement in the training of staff and monitoring compliance with established safety regulations. You will lead safety orientations and conduct inspections to promote a safe workplace culture across various project sites.
Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate comprehensive safety orientations for new hires • Train employees on relevant safety procedures and equipment • Conduct regular safety inspections and accident trend analyses • Develop comprehensive emergency response plans • Liaise with safety committees and regulatory bodies
Requirements: • At least 4 years in a Health and Safety role in civil construction • NCSO or CRSP certification is an asset • Familiarity with Ontario’s safety regulations • Solid organizational and communication abilities • Valid driver's license and flexible working hours
