Experience in Real Estate, Housing, Corporate, M&A;, and Commercial Advisory is an asset but not required to apply.Lead and support a broad portfolio of solicitor legal work for non-profit, charitable, and impact-oriented clients.Provide corporate, commercial,
non-profit, charity, real estate, employment and other advisory services.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including service agreements, funding agreements, leases, and procurement documents.Advise on employment, volunteer, and contractor relationships, and assist with related policy development.Collaborate effectively with the administrative and operations team.Participate in business development and relationship-building efforts to grow the firm’s practice.RequirementsMember in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia5+ years of experience in corporate/commercial solicitor practiceExceptional technological and artificial intelligence competencyExceptional oral and written communication skillsExceptional organizational, time management, and file management skillsExceptional client management skillsHighly independent, accountable, and self-directedDemonstrated commitment to community service, ethics, and professional excellenceExperience advising non-profits, charities, and First Nations is an assetLawyer must be willing to be called in the Yukon and BCCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $142,824 - $166,628+3 weeks vacation, plus bonus vacation entitlementOrigination bonus (10% of originated collections, paid quarterly)Firm Performance BonusHealth and dental benefits plus health care spending accountIn office during probation, hybrid options available provided performance targets metRegular office hours: 8:30am – 5pm, flexible hours available provided performance targets metWorking travel policyVoluntourism policy$5,000 business development expense accountCareer and practice development training and support (e.G. education expenses covered by the firm, business development training, and informal mentorship)Target & Performance Expectations1300-1400 billable hours, and corollary realization and collections targets50+ community contribution hours per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
