Registered Dental Assistant - Second Chair

Harte Dental is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant to join our busy family dental practice.

This is a second-chair position working closely with a very busy general dentist, with 3 days per week at our Charleswood clinic (Harte Dental) and 2 days per week at our Bridgwater clinic (Allora Dental).

The dentist already has a fantastic dental assistant on her team, and we're looking for a second chair to help keep the practice running efficiently and create additional capacity for patient care. The goal of this position is to allow the dentist to continue expanding her schedule while maintaining an efficient, well-supported clinical day.

This is not an exam-and-recall-only second chair position. You will be involved in a wide variety of procedures and patients and will work closely with both the dentist and the existing dental assistant throughout the day.

What You'll Do

You'll have the opportunity to assist with a broad range of procedures and patients, including:

New patient exams and comprehensive examinations
SDF application
Polishing and fluoride
Restorative treatment
Endodontic treatment
Crowns and bridges
Extractions
Dentures and removable prosthodontic procedures

As part of the role, you'll also help with the day-to-day responsibilities of the clinical team, including room turnover, instrument processing and sterilization, and keeping the clinical areas organized and ready for patients.

What We're Looking For

Registered Dental Assisting Certificate
Previous dental assisting experience is an asset
Comfortable assisting with a variety of general dental procedures
Organized and able to keep up in a busy practice
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Someone who is dependable, adaptable and willing to jump in where needed
A positive attitude and a genuine interest in providing great patient care





We're looking for someone who can work well as part of an established team and who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. You'll be working closely with an experienced assistant, so communication and teamwork are important.

The Schedule

Monday-Friday
3 days per week at Harte Dental in Charleswood
2 days per week at Allora Dental in Bridgwater
Schedule follows the dentist between the two locations
Fridays end at 2:00 p.m.
No evening or weekend shifts
