About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their practice in Kimberley. This hybrid position offers a flexible work arrangement, combining collaborative office time with remote work capabilities. You will lead complex geotechnical investigations, provide expert analysis for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks, and manage projects from inception through to completion. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional looking to take on greater responsibility and contribute to significant infrastructure and building projects in the Northern Cape. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and testing programs. Perform advanced geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining structures, and soil improvement. Develop detailed geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and specifications. Oversee and provide technical guidance to junior geotechnical engineers and technicians. Liaise with clients, contractors,
and regulatory authorities to ensure project success. Conduct peer reviews of geotechnical designs and proposals. Requirements
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical specialization. Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in geotechnical engineering. Qualified Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration is required. Proficiency in geotechnical software such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, or similar. Experience in managing projects and remote teams effectively. Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology. Benefits
