The candidate will work closely with another Scaling Officer to complete scale site inspections, conduct check scales, resolve data anomalies, and support the district’s waste and residue program.

The candidate will help maintain the integrity of the provincial scaling system by ensuring Crown timber is measured, recorded, and billed accurately and fairly.

Job Requirements

The candidate must hold a valid Scaler Licence with all required endorsements.

The candidate must have a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence or an equivalent driver’s licence.





The candidate must have experience performing scaling operations in a forestry or related environment.

Preference may be given to applicants with Interior Scaling operational experience.

The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.

The candidate must successfully complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC) as a condition of employment.

The candidate may have access to a flexible work arrangement that allows working from home for up to two (2) days per week, subject to approval under a Telework Agreement.
