We offer a dynamic workplace culture, along with a competitive salary, excellent benefit package, a defined benefit pension plan, paid vacation, paid personal leave days and discounted transportation on our bus and passenger rail services.ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:The Manager, IT Infrastructure provides leadership and oversight for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Ontario Northland's IT infrastructure, including on-premises servers, networking, virtual environments, SAN, UPS, print services, user hardware, and cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for planning, designing, developing, supporting, coordinating, and implementing efficient solutions, processes, and procedures that support core organizational functions and align with business objectives. Working collaboratively with other IT teams, the Manager drives infrastructure enhancements, supports current and emerging technology initiatives, implements best practices, and contributes to the ongoing expansion of the IT service catalogue.MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and performance management for the IT Infrastructure team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Manage staffing resources and schedules to ensure reliable 24/7 support of enterprise and business-critical infrastructure systems.Develop and execute the IT Infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle plans to support organizational objectives and future growth.Oversee the operation, maintenance, availability, security, and performance of on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments.Identify, assess, and mitigate infrastructure risks while maintaining infrastructure asset and risk registers and ensuring timely execution of mitigation plans.Evaluate existing technologies and recommend upgrades, migrations, modernization initiatives,



and new solutions to improve service delivery and business value.Partner with business leaders and IT teams to maintain and enhance service continuity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resilience.Plan, manage, and monitor IT Infrastructure operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, reporting, and long-term planning activities.Lead and prioritize infrastructure projects and initiatives based on business impact, resource requirements, and organizational priorities.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project teams, and subject matter experts to design and implement effective technology solutions.Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors, consultants, and cloud service providers, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and requirements.Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements to gather requirements, resolve issues, and support decision-making.Ensure infrastructure documentation, standards, procedures, and support materials are developed, maintained, and updated.Translate technical concepts, opportunities, and risks into transparent business recommendations for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.Promote innovation, best practices, and a solutions-focused approach to continuously improve infrastructure services and operational effectiveness.REQUIREMENTS:University degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceProfessional certifications such as ITIL, Prosci Change Management Practitioner, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA A+, and PMP are considered assets6-8 years of experience supporting enterprise-level technology environments and/or working within a public sector organization5+ years of management or leadership experience within an IT environmentExperience implementing and supporting enterprise systems and platforms, including ERP, EAM, MRP, Azure, and cloud environmentsExperience leading technology programs, strategic initiatives, and complex multi-stakeholder projectsExperience with technology governance, strategic planning, policy development, and IT service management practicesStrong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Azure, Exchange, SQL Server, SCCM, SharePoint, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCPKnowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking,
