Role: Salesforce Developer, Financial Services Cloud
Job Type: Contract (9-10 months)
Location: Toronto, Guelph, OR Mississauga (Hybrid, 2 days onsite)
Hourly Rate: $55-60/hour

Our client is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join a collaborative Salesforce Operations team responsible for supporting and enhancing a critical enterprise Salesforce environment. Working alongside a team of Salesforce professionals, you will contribute to development, integrations, platform support, and continuous improvement initiatives in a mature Salesforce ecosystem.
Your New Role
As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Salesforce-based solutions that enable critical business operations. You will translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions, design and implement new functionality, resolve production issues, and support ongoing platform enhancements.
This role combines hands-on Salesforce development with a strong support component. You will investigate and resolve tickets, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot defects, participate in testing activities, and support release deployments. The environment is heavily focused on platform stability, system performance, and continuous improvement.
You will also work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT partners to deliver solutions that align with established standards and best practices while contributing to a high-performing Agile team environment.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience
- Mandatory experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC)
- Salesforce certifications including:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Salesforce Platform Developer II
- Salesforce Administrator
- Strong hands-on experience developing solutions using:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Salesforce Flows
- Salesforce Platform technologies
- Experience designing and supporting Salesforce integrations with external systems
- Experience working within a support, operations, or production support environment, including ticket management and troubleshooting
- Experience with OmniStudio
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and/or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting enterprise Salesforce environments
- Experience working in highly scalable and complex Salesforce implementations
- Strong background in release support and post-deployment activities
