You will work as a member of the inter‑qualified team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X‑ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X‑ray Technologists (ACCLXT).Additional Required QualificationsThis vacancy may be eligible for the Recruitment Incentive. Required to take call and live within 30 minutes of the facility when on call. Recent cardiology experience including ECG and Holter Monitor. Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. The ability to effectively communicate in English. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Positive interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote good teamwork, under pressure and in emergency situations. Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable. Proficient computer skills. Ability to adapt to changes. Demonstrated desire and actions to further own knowledge relating to profession. Receptive to new ideas and change.Preferred QualificationsExperience operating and troubleshooting in the past 2 years: Diagnostic Imaging - Kodak CR Reader, Shimadzu X‑ray unit. Cardiology - MacVu 360, Holter Monitor. Laboratory - ACL Elite Pro, Sysmex 1000i, Clinitek Status, I‑Stat, Triage MeterPro.
