- Lead a distributed development team, including onshore and offshore contractors
- Own talent development, performance management, and succession planning
- Coach and mentor technical talent to enhance capabilities and career progression
- Drive delivery of RIBS Core Banking project initiatives aligned with client needs and organizational goals
- Incorporate best practices and technologies into program delivery
- Establish priorities, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate across business and technical stakeholders
- Direct the evolution of RIBS Core Banking applications using DevOps, Agile methodologies, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Define technical direction and deepen engineering best practices across the team
- Own roadmap development with business and architecture partners
- Ensure compliance with risk management frameworks for RIBS and related applications
- Coordinate with support teams to provide subject matter expert support for production availability and stability
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong leadership/facilitation skills and experience managing cross-functional technical teams
- Ability to define, influence, and impact technical direction
- Robust understanding of core banking systems, including accounts, deposits, loans, and payments
- Experience deploying business-critical production solutions
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub, and UrbanCode
- Proficiency with automated testing frameworks
- Knowledge of enterprise security concepts and methodologies, including SSO, SSL, encryption, authentication,



and role-based access controls
- Strong systems knowledge, including programming languages, IT standards, methodologies, capability maturity model (CMM), audit requirements, and middleware technologies
- Experience embedding AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude into development workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong judgment regarding code quality, reliability standards for regulated environments, and appropriate AI use cases
- Nice-to-have: Experience working in a matrix organization within a large financial institution
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to Personal/Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, and Capital Markets
- Nice-to-have: Development experience on IBMi platform/COBOL400
