Your work will shape secure, scalable solutions, mentor teams, and drive governance and best‑practice adoption across the organization.Responsibilities- Design and implement architecture solutions that satisfy Capital One Canada’s business and security framework.- Maintain a catalog of technical and business capabilities and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.- Lead the creation and review of Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and High‑Level Design (HLD) documents.- Participate in governance forums such as the Architectural Review Board,



ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to promote technology strategies that deliver business value and innovation.- Mentor and guide teams on architectural best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications- Minimum 8years of experience in Software Engineering or Systems Architecture.- Minimum 2years of experience creating solutions architectures in a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).- Strong proficiency in designing secure, scalable and decoupled systems in regulated environments (PCI, HIPAA, Privacy, etc.).- Ability to communicate with technical depth at all organizational levels.- Experience influencing and partnering with technology executives.- Experience mentoring software engineers or architects.- Preferable credentials: Bachelor's/Master’s/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field; TOGAF, AWS or similar certification; 3+ years as a SolutionsArchitect in large/complex organizations.- Working at Capital One, with AWS Solution Architect Associate or equivalent certifications, is preferred.Compensation and Benefits- Annual salary range: $184,000 – $210,000 CAD.- Performance‑based incentive compensation possible.- Full coverage for spouses, domestic partners, and dependents.- $3,000 mental health coverage and up to $5,000 tuition subsidies per year.Equal Prospect EmploymentCapital One Canada is an equal‑opportunity employer.
