Position Summary:School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications forCasual Learning Support Workersto support students in the Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.The successful candidate will:Work with school and district staff to support the individual needs of studentsAssist in the delivery of regular or alternate education programs for individuals or groupsAdvocate for students and participate in school-based teams as neededQualifications:Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)Completion of anEducation Assistant CertificateprogramMinimum of 6 months of experience working with children/youth with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilitiesValid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required)WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety proceduresNote:Applicants without the required certification will be consideredUncertifiedand compensated at the corresponding rate. Should you not have the required qualifications,
you will be paid at the Uncertified Learning Support Worker rate ($26.72).Additional Requirements:The successful applicant must complete aCriminal Record Checkthrough theCriminal Records Review Program (CRRP).
