MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Previous commercial farming management experience
- Practical knowledge of crop and livestock production
- Robust leadership and people-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
- Zulu-speaking ability will be advantageous
- Valid drivers licence
- Basic computer literacy and sound record-keeping skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Hard-working, reliable and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee and manage all day-to-day farm activities and operations
- Lead, manage and motivate farm staff and teams




- Manage crop production including seed potatoes, maize, soya and cabbages
- Oversee livestock management and general animal husbandry
- Plan and manage irrigation schedules and water usage
- Coordinate and manage crop spraying schedules and applications
- Maintain accurate financial, operational and administrative records
- Monitor farm inputs, stock, equipment and general resources
- Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently, safely and to the required standards
