Installs, repairs and maintains industrial plant equipment, machinery and facility services by performing the following duties.Duties & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and practice safe working procedures and comply with codeUse personal protective equipment with lockout / isolation procedures as requiredUnderstand the specific environmental aspects and impacts of maintenance duties and work toward reducing themAbility to communicate openly and clearly with fellow team membersRead or write and understand specific work instruction and procedures. Understand and practice sharing information with othersUnderstand and interpret schematic drawings and symbols as well as manufacturers manuals and specifications and logic diagrams for pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systemsUse of hand and power tools to expedite repairs, installation and maintenance of plant equipmentUse and setup of shop power machinery, lathes, milling machines, saws, drills and grindersAble to use precision measuring tools to verify component size to specificationsSelection of proper machine lubricants and application at the recommended rate and frequencyUnderstanding of bearing selection, inspections, lubrication, fitting and replacementsSelection of proper lifting/hoisting equipment for safe rigging of equipment and planning liftsInstall belts, chains, pulleys, material handling devices, inspecting, aligning and maintainingInstall keys, splines, shafting, speed reducers, brakes, couplings, clutches and drive systemsMaintain compressors, dryers, filters, coolers, separators, receivers, and water pumpsLayout and fabrication of various materials, including Mig / Tig, Arc weldingInstall, maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic valves, actuators, control systemsInstall, maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems including valves, pumps, filter/strainers, flow control, proportional valves, actuators,
servo controlsComplete PM work orders of equipment to manufacturer’s recommendations or PM guide and provide feedback on activities and changes to improve the service of equipmentPerform other maintenance related duties as assigned to meet departmental responsibilitiesJob QualificationsEducationMust possess a valid Maintenance Millwright 443A certificate of qualification with a minimum of two years’ practical experienceExperienceAdvanced training and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity would be a preferred assetTrainingWHMISOtherMust have a valid driver’s licenseClean protected work environment, consistent work, competitive wages, company provided uniforms and allowances for PPE, shift premiums, paid time off, overtime paid after 8 hoursThe Company:Vuteq Canada is a tier 1 automotive manufacturing organization, located in Woodstock, Ontario.
