Trinity College invites applications for a full-time scholar in Humanistic Buddhist Thought and Practice. This Assistant Professor role aims to integrate teaching and research initiatives.
As a recent addition to the Institute, the successful candidate will play a significant role in advancing the academic mission while teaching and supervising students. The appointment calls for a strong academic background in Buddhism and a commitment to program development. Teaching responsibilities can include Buddhism, sociology of religion, and spiritual care, alongside developing a robust research agenda in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach 4-6 courses annually relevant to Buddhist studies • Supervise graduate research projects • Contribute to the Institute’s curricular offerings • Organize academic events and partnerships • Conduct research and publish in reputable outlets
Requirements: • PhD in relevant field such as Religious Studies or Buddhism • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at university level • Experience in mentorship and research supervision • Proven scholarly publication record • Expertise in Humanistic Buddhism
