Part‑time High School Math & Science Tutor at Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights. The role is in‑person and requires commuting to the center.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels.
Following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Completing post‑lesson notes.
Updating daily student communication.
Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is preferred.
University students with tutoring experience will be considered.
Valuable knowledge of current Grades 8‑12 math, Pre‑Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry.
Experience
Experience teaching/tutoring math at Grade 8‑12 (or equivalent) level.
Robust English written and oral communication skills.
Robust math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Schedule
Evenings (3 pm–8 pm), Monday‑Friday, with occasional Saturday availability.
Compensation
$20 per hour.
Other Requirements
Must be available for after‑school hours starting at 3 pm Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturdays.
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory for all positions.
Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the South Surrey area.
