Loblaws is hiring a full time Asset Protection Representative at 100 McArthur Ave., Ottawa, ON K1L 8H5. This position requires open availability based on store hours, including evenings and weekends.

This is a front-line career in retail security where your vigilance, professionalism, and quick decision-making help create a safe shopping environment while reducing theft and fraud in high-volume grocery and pharmacy settings.

Responsibilities
Actively prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations by maintaining a visible and skilled presence in-store
Safely and lawfully detain offenders, following all company and legal procedures
Conduct detailed internal and external investigations, gather and analyze evidence, and work with law enforcement when required
Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and implement effective prevention strategies
Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations
Monitor CCTV and surveillance tools to detect and respond to suspicious activity

Requirements
Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence




Understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation
Experience with CCTV, surveillance tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Approachable, confident, and respectful with exceptional communication skills
High level of trustworthiness, accountability, and proactive approach to problem-solving
Available to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends (40 hr. work week)
Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or high-volume retail is an asset
Must be 18 years or older; criminal background check required
