About the Role

Our client is seeking an eager and meticulous Agricultural Research Assistant to support their research initiatives in Kimberley . This role is fundamental in assisting scientists and researchers with experimental trials, data collection, and analysis within a variety of agricultural projects. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in scientific methodologies applied to crop improvement, soil science, and sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses solid organizational skills, and has a foundational understanding of agricultural principles, contributing to groundbreaking research in the Northern Cape region. Key Responsibilities

Assist researchers in setting up, conducting, and monitoring agricultural field and laboratory experiments. Collect, record, and manage experimental data accurately, adhering to strict protocols. Prepare experimental materials, including seeds, soil samples, and chemical solutions. Perform routine field tasks such as planting, watering, pest control, and harvesting for research plots. Conduct basic laboratory analyses,



such as soil testing and sample preparation. Maintain research equipment and ensure the proper functioning of laboratory and field facilities. Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related scientific discipline. Previous experience in a research setting or field-based agricultural work is advantageous. Basic understanding of experimental design and data collection methodologies. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to perform physical tasks in outdoor field conditions and work collaboratively in a team. Proficiency with basic laboratory techniques and common agricultural tools. Benefits
