Shape future electricians as a Dual Credit Basic Electrical Instructor at Durham College (DC). Support student's college readiness through creative teaching and engagement strategies.
The Dual Credit program at DC is in search of a motivated qualified to teach Basic Electrical (TFBE 1301). This part time professor role involves teaching up to six hours weekly, primarily during high school hours with a focus on two 75-minute classes each week. Our mission is to enhance student confidence and success in a college setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster a positive learning environment for students
• Engage students using effective pedagogical approaches
• Implement educational technologies for learning and grading
• Create impactful assessment strategies
• Maintain current and relevant course curriculum
Requirements:
• Electrical Engineering Technician/Technology Diploma or Certified Electrician
• At least five years recent electrician work experience
• Previous post-secondary teaching experience
• Understanding of Universal Design for Learning
• Clean Vulnerable Sector Check required
